SloFiddy
So I ran some numbers, did some measurements, and this is what i've come up with for a box idea. Not familiar with aero port building, or tuning, so this is going to be an experience. So i've got the general idea, but my main question is, besides some support beams/structures should there be any baffles? or sides kind of half-partitioning the sub from the aero ports? Input with these sort of enclosures would be kind. Thanks! SloFiddy
How would i achieve this without highering/lowering the tuning freq. too much? Also, will it effect the tune the further the aero ports are in the box? halfway, all the way in/out? SloFiddy
Did a little more research. Thanks for the advice. So general rule is to have in the mid-teens^2 inches of port area per cube? uhoh_45
with actual aero ports you can get away with alot less port area 8-12^2 of port with pvc port its a bit higher 10-14^2" port and with slot ports its roughly 13-16^2" port Quote R.I.P! fecupe2001
I would try to go with at least 2 aeros 6" , something like 20" long each one, that would give you around 5.4 c/f and 33 hz tuning, biggest problem is that aeros come at maximun 17" long iirc, you could go with PVC tubes and flare them tho... How would one go about doing this? From reading recent posts it looks as though i have plenty of time. DC hasn't got any motors? Or something of that nature.. Edit: Retarded. Didn't read post dates. haha.
