Generally speaking, it's louder on the meter. Facing backward gives the subs something to load off of, so they play (or at least sound) a bit lower. That said, every car is different. Your car may respond differently. Acoustics are a bitch. Lol Try it and see how you like it. Anti Peel and Seal...lol You may be offended by the above.
