Aq SD 2.5

Hey I plan on getting the SD 2.5 15" sub for my truck, in a ported box. Ok the AQ website it says 500-600 rms, my amp puts out 525 so it's Perfect. with this setup would I be looking at some decent sound? And what's the best size box to use?

As long as that 525 is at 2 ohms, you should be okay. For a single 2.5 12, I'd say about 1.5-2cu ft at about 32-34hz. Just make sure you don't overpower them or clip them, they don't like that too much...

Yeah my amp is at 2 ohms, and I'm doin a 15, not a 12. So would that be a different box?

older thread but ive got an sdc 15 i run in a 4.4 cube box tuned to 34hz 15sq in of port per cube and it sounds GREAT! Hope this helps.

Yeah I'm with this guy ^^^ if I'm going to underpower a sub a little bit I like to put it in a bit larger of a box haha, not too much but a little bit

4.5cubes net, tune for the music you mostly play, so 35-38Hz as these subs will play below tuning just like the HDC's. I do 16^2 port per net cube.
