Hey all, need some help figuring out how much space I have in my wall.

144d946.png

All are inner dimensions. Baffle will be 2 1/4" so that's why the depth seems on the small side. I suck at geometry, not going to lie. I've tried and failed at figuring out how much space I have... So please, anyone gifted with the ability to do 10th grade geometry, please help...

I'm shooting for at least 10cubes after all displacements. I want 180-200sqin of port, and woofer displacement is .52cubes

I'd like a tuning of 35hz...

So if anyone feels like helping, I'd seriously appreciate it! I have $6.66 left in my paypal if someone want's a little payment for helping out. THANK YOU!!!!!

Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks :)

Well I know all one has to do is figure out the area of the trapezoid (top) and the rectangle (bottom)

I just can't do it myself. I'm from Louisiana, we don't learn much lol...

And I was hoping someone would get a chuckle or two out of that tag :drinks:

volume = L * (b1 + (b2 - b1) * h1 / h + b1) * h1 / 2

There are some measurements missing, I can assume...but I would like to be accurate

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

Also, can't figure out the volume of a rectangle AND a trapazoid, I think you're thinking of surface area...let me sit down and do some math

If that's correct ABC, that'll come out to 14.45cubes before displacement. I'm messing with Torres right now and seems like I can get 10.3cubes after displacement with 192sqin of port and a tuning of 36hz. 18.5sqin per cube of port...

You would find the volume of the trapezoid, then add that to the volume of the rectangle.

You would enter that net volume into Torres. Subtract bracing and sub displacements. Then, play with the port in the program.

Your box net volume may be off like a tenth of a cube because the program automatically adds a baffle iirc
