a line driver would definately help out alot, especially with 1V preamp outputs.

My System:

8-Onkyo 3/4 inch tweeters (dash)

1-Sundown Audio 100.4D (mids/highs)

does it mess with the quality of the sound alot?

hell if anything it'll sound better. i have an Alpine Cd player at has a 4v output and added my audiocontrol 3.1 and it made a very noticeable difference. alpine is good for it's quality sound and that 3.1 made it even better. you can expect anyways from a 5v to 10 increase with any audiocontrol linedrive. i chose the 3. 1 because it allowed me to run a front, rear and sub RCA output, have a master control and a sub level control. so that's what worked for me. a good linedriver will make any h/u sound good.

quality is meh. my friend had a similar one (same builder) and it would lock up on him from time to time. its not reliable. also 1v is uber ghey lol.

i strongly disagree on the quality somewhat. the picture quality on the flip out jensens are very nice imo. i didnt check out the link to see if this is a flip or not, but the quality of the flip screens is pretty nice, for the low low price you pay for them. yea of course theres better, but for TONS!!!!!! more money that 17 year olds dont have to blow on them. but yes 1v outs is very ghey.
