Yes, that's right. 1/(1/2+1/2) = 1/1 = 1 ohm

Alaskanbass, It doesn't really matter. As long as the wire splits and branches off to the other coil. ABC could split it at the amp, in the middle, or split it at the sub. He chose to split the wire at the terminal.

ABC, just make sure that you use the proper guage wire (you can never go wrong with too thick of wire, but too thin of wire will only cause problems)

Quick tip for the bolts: if the bolts are 1/4 inch, take a drill bit slightly smaller than 1/4 and drill through the wood. You should then be able to screw the bit into the wood - keep in mind that it should be a pretty tight fit as the wood had to deform around the threads, making it air tight.

Once you have the proper bit, drill the holes in the box, then install the bolt from the inside of the box so the threads poke towards the outside. Put a nut on the outside to lock it in place, then put your wire ontop of that nut and screw a second one on to hold the wire.

i made mine so that they screw in to the wood and i used some rubber washers and i have no problems with leak issues !!!
