BJD3
What vehicle is this going to be in? Unless you have 10 cubes of airspace sealed, and 15 cubes ported, you'd be better off using fewer subs, or a smaller size subwoofer. To answer your question though, unless you're pressed for space, I'd go ported. Generally speaking, you'll be louder off the same power, and will likely have a bit more extension. If you are pressed for space, I'd suggest fewer subs, a smaller size sub, or subwoofers more suited to small enclosures. I believe they would perform better in a sealed box not saying you cant go ported but ive never heard any ported i cared for IMO. Id say do the 4 sealed and go biggest you can fit and set amp gain accordingly Quote Everythings in the attic or garage since the truck was sold last year. I know they're not the best subs but they're the best I can afford I'm going to school and only able to work part time plus I'm 18 so think it's pretty good all things considered

dohckiller808
It'll be loud no doubt any way you go. If you want that bass snappy for all types of music, 12s would be the largest I would go. Maybe look at 8 12s sealed?
