You can always use your current amplifier, run it at 4ohm. And then once you get another, link each at 2ohm for a 4ohm final load. 40hm=quiet :/ how is the solo x 18s motor bigger than the 12? if its a different motor on the solo x 12 then technically its not a solo x... a lvl 5 10-12-15-18 all have the same motor, just a different basket and cone size... why would it be any different? honestly, i wont give my opinion on kicker, but the 18 will play all kinds of music... just depends on what you tune the box to So what would you tune the box to sir? I love 35, it can hit up into the 45s and down to around 24.. but thats MY personal prefrence.. some people like 38, who listen to rock more.. i wouldnt personally go over 40 though I've always heard 33-35.
