RyanJ
Wasssup felllllas, hopefully everyone here had a good 4th of July!! Anyways, I'm driving now in a 1992 Toyota Truck Ext. Cab, and yes, it's fugly but get's me to point A to point B. I was gonna put 2 12's off an aq1200d in the backseats of it and bolt it down and tint the backwindows and things of that sort, but then I realized my speakers are a little blown. I drove the truck and the speakers got scratchy and sometimes even cuts off for a sec, then comes back on. My dad said there infiniti's 50 watt speakers, maybe there just wired wrong but who knows. Theres only 2 speakers in the vehicle, both in front. Once I replace those, I was gonna put both Sa-12's, but I'll just put one in for now and save the OTHER one for MY car. Do you think a SA-12 can hold 1200 watts on its on? I know its rated 600, but I heard these subs are troopers.. Soo. If not, I'll just prob set the gains or something. Anyways, here is where I'm going to get the stuff. If it's the whole 1200, i'm always down for a challenge Haha. But let me know guys. Thanks. If the sub is a d4 the lowest you can wire is 2ohm so it would be getting 870 watts from the amp which is fine. RyanJ
Okay. And wait if I add the other sa-12, what will each sub get wattage wise? 600. I'm not good with ohms Quote MOB-MOBILE: 2005 Honda Accord 5-Speed System: (1) Sundown Audio SA-15 (1) MB Quart ONX1.1500D (1) Kenwood KDC-248U Speakers: -Rear Dash: (2) Clarion SRQ6932R 6x9's SOLD New MOB-MOBILE: 2011 G37S Sedan System:TBD Instagram (18+) : DabsWitaBudget415

I'm not good with ohms 2 D4 subs will be wired down to 1 ohm load. So, yes, 600 wrms each. (unless AQ amps are underrated, not sure about it) Edited July 7, 2011 by LoudBimmer
g6ryder
The sa should do fine on that amount of power and 2 would def. handle that amount of power good choice in equip. Quote www.wooferwarehouse.com

Later on will upgrade to saz1500. will be 750 each. I got an SAE-1000D set with an O-Scope on 2 SA-12's... People shit bricks when I tell them the subs are rated for 600 each and that they're getting 500 each... [before actual power considering box rise and all the other shit, people are too herp-derp to understand that shit] It blows minds how loud it is with that setup... They then shit more bricks when I show them vids of the same subs on 3K watt RMS...
