dynamat nock off ... Peel and Seal

i was at my local home depot and i was looking around and happened to come across some stuff called peel and seal. so when i came home i looked it up and its actually kind of popular. Has anyone used this and is it worth it? thanks

That stuff is asphalt based and belongs on a roof man. Get some real deadener that is butyl based like Second Skin or AudioTechnix(great stuff and its affordable)

Instead of making a thread like this why not search for the dozens of posts made about peel and seal with in the last 4 months and u'll find ur answer.

Dont buy the cheap stuff, buy the real stuff which is..... Second Skin, Audio Technix(sp?), dynamat, hell even fat mat. if you wanna be cheap yeah it will work but its not a true deadner.

SIGH. It is ALL OVER THE PLACE and belong nowhere but ON THE ROOF. Its does NOT come close to a real deadener, and can only be used as a mass loader to add mass to panels to keep them from resinating. The problem is you would need atleast 4 layers of P&S for 1 layer of a real quality deadener like damplifier or audiotechnix.

One second and ill give you a REAL explanation why that shit is meant to go on a roof, not in a car for any reason.

So unless your roof is fucked on your car, Peel and Seal should never be on it or near it. Period.

i was really going to use this to seal some holes i have connecting my rear deck to my trunk. I dont want to spend $100 on deadener for covering holes.
