Bought a 2000 Chevy S10, still using the same amp/subs. Headunit is XO Vision X538. It's 52x4w, has a dvd player, auto flip out 7" touch screen plus alot more and is a single din. spl_blazer Posted July 17, 2011 Report Share Posted July 17, 2011 Full size van displacement volume "inches" 108L - 50H - 70W = (378,000 cubic inches)..oh what fun I've heard that you would need to displace around 1/20th of the total volume to reach 150-155Db or so That would make it 18,900 cubic inches. trying to figure out how much cone/port area total that i would need, but my brain fried after seeing almost 400k cubic inches anyone able to figure this problem out? thinking 12x 12s at 3k watt "1500 rms" each, no idea on power yet we have a gmc safari cargo van doing a 154.2 db sealed on the termlab 4 12" subs in a 6 cubic foot ported box that sits 6 inches from the back doors dont know if its 1/20th of volume but we are pretty happy.
