I need help setting the crossover frequencies for my new settup. I have a Cadence ZRS-55KS component set for the front stage and a pair of American Bass SQ-6B mids for the rear. My amp is a brand new MB Quart ONX4.60 4ch. I know its not much, but its a start! Also, when I go to set my gains, is it done the same way as a monoblock? Thanks for any help!!

Set the high pass at 80hz. As far as gain goes a lot of different opinions. You can do it by ear, voltmeter, 3/4, scope, smd dd1. My suggestions would be o-scope or the smd dd1. But yea, same as a mono, just with a different tone.

the tone most people use is 1000hz to tune mids and highs. an o-scope or dd1 would be the right ways to do it but i doubt you have either of those tools. you can have a shop or a friend scope it for you or just turn it up til you can hear distortion then back off a little

Nope! No scope and dont know anyone with one!! So, set the hi pass at 80hz and use a tone of 1000hz to tune it like the sub is what u guys are saying? I just have access to a nice DMM my Dad has! Also, would my setup be ok? Has anyone heard this series of Cadence mids and highs? Thanks for all the help!!

Heres my input... you have access to a ddm, use it. take the power your amp is rated at per channel, divided by its resistance per channel. so say it does 60 watts x4 @ 4 ohms. 60/4= 15. then the sq root of 15 / 1000. put in a disc that has pink noise, disconect the speaker leads, set dmm to AC, set volume on deck to 3/4. play disc attach dmm leads to speaker outputs of amp, turn gain untill you reach equation. so if your amp is 60x4 @ 4 ohms. 60/4= 15. sq root of 15 is 387298/1000= .00387298 (.0039) yeah also what he said, set ur hi pass to about 80hz. then do the same thing with your sub but instead of pink noise, use what ever freq that your sub is tuned to, or u could just use 50hz. whatever. hope this helps. if you need any more help let me knoe pm me or sumthin. peace
