Group 8D batteries

I saw some of these behemoths (no shit the duece bigalow voice "that's a huge bitch" popped in my head") yesterday and it got me thinking. Has anyone here ever used them, if so how well did they perform?

But after looking at the specs/price compared to my hc2400's I figured I'd stick with the kinetiks, just wanted to ask

seen a few used, but they average around $700 for agm styles. at 165lbs and 255Ah each, imo one or two would suffice more often then not.

I've seen a few people use them and I have a 4D and it holds up great for daily listening. They are very costly I buy {seconds/reconditioned} way cheaper 4d 1000cca are $50, 8d 1000cca are $100 and 8d 1500cca are $150

I was at a boat shop looking at chargers/batteries/fiberglass and when I talked to the guy there he said the agm 8d's ran $750 but I still compared 2-hc2400's and I think they still would outperform the 8d. Unless there's something about these batts that makes em special.
