roughly 8cubes tuned to 35hz, was like 50x26x22

That's like... 13+ cubes AFTER sub and bracing, before port...

seriously lol? i dont know man CSanchez.A made the design for me and i built it, it was my first box. wow haha

Lol Yeah man. May want to consider going a little smaller.

wow haha, well will it hurt them? cause there slamming like crazy right now lol

Too big of a box will lower power handling of the sub big time. It should love the lows though. Check those dimensions again, if it REALLY is that big, then a smaller box would benefit you greatly. The subs only call for 4.0 cubes each, you're looking at probably close to 6 cubes per sub.

Yeah but as 727designs said it's 13 BEFORE port. The port is what takes up the extra space. Wich means the sub chamber is the right size. And the port still works with what the user wants.

I'm highly doubting there is 5 cubes worth of port there.

yeah they hit the lows pretty good, if the large box is lowering the power handling of the subs its working out for me right now lol there underpowered with 1700rms.. but like i said im happy with it and its slamming like crazy, so maybe ill try to dig up the design and let you guys figure it out hahah

I stand corrected, there is 5 cubes of port. That seems like WAAAYYY too much port area to me though. 26 in^2 per cube? Have any issues unloading below tuning?

Unloading, peaky, may have some noise, etc

Just by looking it looks like you may have problems with the sub closest to the port unloading due to design as well.

Also, he didn't figure for any bracing, which will make the net size of the box smaller, but with the same port length effectively raise tuning higher than desired, also you'll have more port area than intended due to more power with less net airspace.

yeah i figured the tuning was higher then 35hz, still hits the lows pretty good and everything.. not even close to doing a hairtrick what so ever tho -.- ive moved the subs around 3 times now and they are loading properly, one sub hits different cause its stiffer then my other sub. i dont hear any rubbing or any other noise other then bass.. so for now im happy with the box, im loudest in my town easy lol so i might sell my subs/box to my buddy and step it up to something bigger in the future.
