adam6604 Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 hey guys, got finished more work on my ram. . i dug through all my pictures on my computer and found some old ones. so im gonna make a thread showing when i first bought my truck untill it sits today, still got lots of plans for it so here we go when i first got my truck, about.. 2 years ago or so now, love it. first mod was the Alpine CDA-105 headunit, not a bad headunit so far. got some rims and tires from my dad for christmas! ( he works at a tire dealership ), 275/75/18's Cooper STT discoverer Tires, with 18" Eagle Alloy rims. love them was running 2 kicker CVR 12's on alpine mrp-m1000 at the time, no pictures only videos of those lol got some 15" RE SX subs on a awesome deal used locally, probably sat in my room for 3 months before getting around to installing them! thanks to C.SanchezA ( sorry if it's wrong! ) for the box design, so i finally built the box! rushed to get the subs playing and in the truck, didnt build anything more then the box, no paint or anything lol, wired it with 16gauge speaker wire and slapped it in there. pain in the but removing all the seats every time to mess with the box lol installed a 3" Rough Country suspension lift had fun! tore it all apart again.. got an alright deal on some "wirez" Deadener from the local shop.. should've went with Second skin but oh well the rest of the truck will get done with damplifier in the future, once i get around to re-doing my doors properly lol painted the box with some..Granite finish speckle paint? I think lol, looks good but smells like chlorine haha me and my buddy built a false floor with legs to hold the box up securely and level, should have taken more pictures of the work done today, but was in wayy to much of a rush, not a fan of going a day or two without bass! almost finished! will take pictures of it with seats in it tomorrow, still have to put these kicker 5.25`s in the back, but im thinking of getting some 6.5 components in the doors ( there 6x9`s right now, how do i fit 6.5`s ? cut them to fit? lol ) also.. trying to decide wether to sell my subs to a friend and switch to some D4 subs so i can actually use my amps 2400rms potential. right now there D2 so im stuck with 1700rms lol, thinking DC Audio once they get there stuff back together.. plans within next 2 weeks : get 2 redtops/yellow tops ( whats the difference? ) , big 3, re wire subs with 8 guage cadence wire (shipping), installing my tsunami 1/0awg power/grounds tomorrow. and go to my first local comp! hoping to meter 145! hope you guys enjoyed, ive had fun doing the build!
