Backstory:

K so my front wheels got a significant amount of brake dust built up because my step dad had the mechanic put the cheapest pads on when he machined my rotors to get rid of my brake shudder. Well today I come out and my stepdad had used aluminum brightener on the wheels to cut through the brake dust (brake cleaner didnt work for some reason?) which should have been fine...Nope the wheels had some kind of coating on them and it is trashed now.

Actual question:

So I want to just buff them down and give them a polished look instead of machined like they look stock. Looking for tips on working aluminum to a polish finish bascially.
