I run PA stuff and do 58+ on music and my mids/highs keep up fine and sound damn good doing it. They also sound good when playing real music at low/normal volumes. It's all about xovers/slopes and a little EQ work.

Rofl, link to pic of this 158 daily please. Clearly you havent heard a set of 'normal' comps powered and tuned correctly. DB don uses 4 sets of 6.5" mids and 4 sets of tweets and it more than keeps up with his 160+ DB daily setup just fine.

ok since you're the foremost authority on PA stuff judging by your tone. how many PA setups have you seen setup with EQ work and things like that? For every one that's spent the time to tune in how many have you seen thats just a ton of gear shoved in a car and wailing away?

What is, having obnoxiously loud PA speakers? Just to see whos speakers are louder? The difference is I want it to sound great while keeping up with the 2 or 3 18s. The thing is you guys up there think it takes a ton of PA speakers. Instead of buying a bunch of $50 speakers spend $400 on a good set of components or 2. Give them the right amount of power and go active. You're front stage will easily keep up with the substage. Just because you think you need 24 10"s doesnt mean you do. 6.5"s can still be loud as fuck and sound a hell of a lot better than PA imo.

$50 speakers? last time i checked ev's go from $140-$200 each

Man you guys are lame with the bashing. I heard this in person a few weeks ago and the shit was loud and clear. How can you guys talk shit about somebody and there car because it's different? You guys have 20 18s in a truck and 1 set of 6x9s -__-. Hellboy is just on the other side of things and its something that's popular on the eastcoast foam Florida to NY as far as I know. Even at the Pulse shows they started doing a format called concert showdown which is just like the street battles and that was a popular ass format.

At the show he was killing the DJ lol. Hellboy keep doing your thing. When I saw the thread I knew what kinda reception it'd get.

^ This is exactly what I think everytime ive seen one because 99% of them are this way. I havent yet heard one that even took the time to gain match the amps very well, so seeing anything like this normally already has a bad wrap for the thousands like it that have NO tuning whatsoever.

And honestly alot of cars I've seen if not all of them have had crossovers... I don't have as much as hellboy but I've gotten alot of compliments on my sundown mids and selenium tweets.

All I can say is if you guys haven't heard anything like these kinda setups it's not much you can say as to how it sounds.
