kickass audio
glad to hear you are alright and the build is going on. I got my back panel off my truck btw, wasnt too hard, just take off the top trim piece, pop that black retainer clip, then rip down the huge back cover for the tailgate. I cant believe how much room that stupid lift gate cover takes up!! Good luck with getting the subs in and everything, i know id crack off some parts of the paint, lol. 2004 GMC Envoy1 XS power S3400 batt under the hood and 4 XS Power D3100's battery installed in the rear by the amps0 gauge power wire from front to backAlpine iva-w205 touchscreen dvd/cd/mp3/ipod/am/fm/gps headunitSundown Audio SAX-200.4 amp for my mids and highs8 gauge speaker wire from amp to woofer270 amp Mechman AltRockford Fosgate T1652-s component speakersRockford Fosgate 3Sixty.2 sound processorRca's from Rockford Fosgate and Monster Cable14 gauge speaker wire for the mids and highs1 18" Ascendant Audio SMD Dual 1 ohm with custom Black & Blue carbon fiber and hand signed dustcapBox: 5.66 cubic feet net volume box tuned to 30.13Hz with 1.5" wide wooden dowels and 1.5" thick baffle1 DC Audio 5.0k amp wired to .5 ohms nominal with an imp rise of 1.35 ohms for the single AA SMD 18"Future Vision 8000k 50w bi-xenon projector HID's with 4300k 35w fog lightsLink to my build: Buildupdates/progress
Mostar
^^ used an oil based paint. 2-3 coats and it is very durable. Doesn't chip or scratch off. Unless you use thinner and a scrapper. Mostar
All the subs are in and amps powered up. I still need to install my new alt but I just wanted to make sure every thing is working properly before I go any farther. So far it is much louder than the 2 Fi BTL 18s I had before! So I am super happy with that, but I starTed to get a super loud vibrating noise coming from inside the sealed portions of the enclosure at higher frequencies. I am going to go get some all thread today and try to make the enclosure more rigid. I hope that is all it is. But over all for not being tuned in, no port installed, and not sealed off it is LOUD!!! And plays music well! Hopefully it is just the enclosure making that noise and not a mechanical failure causing it. I will look into it more tomorrow. Subs and amps never even get warm so I don't think it is the equipment failing, IDK... Hope it is just flex issues. bigjoe302boss
You have a very nice build so far. I am playing around with my first 4th order as well and I am still in the build phase. I am doing 12-12s and hoping for 150s on music with low power. What are your goals with this build? dc lvl 4xl 12 kicker zx1500 2 sets of kicker ds6.5s optima yellow top (extra batt) with big 3 1/0 guage and 3 150amp anls eclipse cd5000 headunit

bigjoe302boss
Yeah I believe with your design you will achieve that and more. I noticed that most 4thcash orders seem to give some crazy demos which is something I love. Nothing like an epic bailout. dc lvl 4xl 12 kicker zx1500 2 sets of kicker ds6.5s optima yellow top (extra batt) with big 3 1/0 guage and 3 150amp anls eclipse cd5000 headunit
Mostar
Well all the subs are out at the moment and thank god all the drivers are still in working order and unharmed! But I did get some damage to the enclosure. The noise I was hearing was the baffles flexing enough to separate from the front wall! Also here are some other pics of damage that this has caused all in the first 2 days of playing!
