RickyFriery97
ok well my buddy helped take out a stereo of a friends dads truck and my buddy asked him if he had any thing to drop his truck more, this guy is more of a lifting guy (hes got a BEAST ass 4 wheeler lifted huge on all custom fabbed suspension) well he said he got some blocks from a lift kit for a f-250/350 keep in mind my friend drives a 1985 single cab S-10... so yes we put 5 1/2" "drop" (made for lift) block in the back i thought this idea was stupid but he was dertimened to make it work, so i let him use my driveway and my tools and helped a lil here and there the ride is so stiff and so uncomfortable lol **This is NOT my truck Nor my Idea, If i was to drop any of my rides id do it correctly, so yal do attack me for this, thanks** In this pic, the new block in on the left, old on the right... 5 1/2" Cuttin the old u bolts off. we got the bed back on but didnt get a pic, ill get one in the daylight today just thought yall would get a kick out of this Quote 2014 Chevy Silverado Crewcab 1994 Chevy Full Size blazer
optical
I dont know much about lifting and lowering but it looks good but i dont think i would like the ride if its too stiff, i like a nice smooth noise free ride unless im in a muscle car then that shit better be roaring
97SSBlazer
I had 4" block in my blazer and it was fine. I had to use "LOAD Carrying" shocks to haul around the bang but oh well, Looked good, cheap and easy Quote lower tuning is just hard. I was surprised how loud 145 sounds at 35hz, and how quiet 145 sounds at 50hz. -= 2005 Tahoe LT =-Head unit: Pioneer AVH-X5500BHSSource: iPad Mini in dash Subs: 2 T1 12's Sub Amp: T1500-1bdCPWire: Rockford Fosgate 1/0 awgSignal Cable: MonsterFronts:Stock Bose for now:)Rears: Stock Bose for now:)MIds/High amp: Stock Bose for now:) 2005 Tahoe Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/172529-2005-tahoe-my-17th-vehicle/ 2001 Monte Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/160030-2001-monte-carlo-my-16th-car-lol/page-2#entry25309381997 Tahoe Build Log: http://www.stevemead...oe-6-15-rf-15s/2001 Impala Build Log: http://www.stevemead...katzkin-inside/

Rev. Wrath
I couldn't see real well, but it looks like the lower shock eyelet is hanging below the scrub line. This is dangerous not to mention illegal in most states. If he wanted it lower for cheap, actually free, why didn't he just take out a leaf spring? That's what I did on an old truck of mine years ago and it rode smoother. But, I do think it looks pretty good other than that.
blownengine
Looks good considering what it is. Im not a huge fan of blocks, especially some crazy large block like 5 inches. One or two I could handle. But when you get that big I feel like they are really unstable.
