Hertz Door Panels

So now I got my subwoofer setup ready to be built and now I'm starting to think of the most important part...mids and highs.

I plan on using a set of Hertz HSK 163. It's a 6.5, a 3" mid, and a tweeter

I was thinking of doing something like this...LINK. Some of you may say that that setup would cause the mid to distort because they are both in the same chamber. Do yall think that will be a problem even though they are pretty much in an infinate baffle; i.e. the door?

Let me know any probs or what you think.

Thanks

I'm in the process of doing my doors now and I think it would be more of a preference of either way.

I'm separating the 2 of mine because they will be x-over at different points. So I don't want the back waves to mess with the other.

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)

If you get these, make sure you try to keep those midranges on axis as much as possible. they dont respond well offaxis judging by the graph.

actually you could run them off-axis, now that i look harder, the tweets would take over from the neglected areas in the upper range :) should be interesting to see. if u were not to run a tweeter then youd have to keep them onaxis.
