Nowhere in his post did he say his 8s were shallow mount. 12s area always deeper than 8s, so maybe there is enough room for a regular 8, but not a regular 12.

I consider the Kicker CVT8 a shallow mount woofer.

And you could be right, there may be enough room for a regular 8, which is why I asked for his dimensions in my first post.

Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks :)

Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

I have a pair of Pioneer shallow mount 12's that are 3.25 inches deep and single 4's. I'm willing to let them go for a resonable price. They are a few years old. Send me a pm if your interested.

formerly known as Blue86f150

its a 4th order just because its tuned in the 40z doesnt mean it wont reach down and jiggle your balls at sub 30 hz frequencies.

Regardless if they were dipped platinum and were stuffed in Beyonce's twat.....way too fucking exspensive

I have 2 Shallow 8s in the box behind the seat right now but there is only 4 inches of mounting depth and just enough air space for the CVT8 so i dont know if replacing the current woofers with a regular 8 or with shallow 10s or 12s is in option due to the lack of air space so i was wanting to build a console box in my rear seat based on the woofer i plan on buying. I like the RF shallow but I'm open to any other woofer right now but the reason i wanted a shallow for the console box is to limit the size of the box. I'm going to push the woofers with a RF P400.1 so shallows would generally not need as much power.
