Supercharged DCs
Nowhere in his post did he say his 8s were shallow mount. 12s area always deeper than 8s, so maybe there is enough room for a regular 8, but not a regular 12. I consider the Kicker CVT8 a shallow mount woofer. And you could be right, there may be enough room for a regular 8, which is why I asked for his dimensions in my first post. Blue
I have a pair of Pioneer shallow mount 12's that are 3.25 inches deep and single 4's. I'm willing to let them go for a resonable price. They are a few years old. Send me a pm if your interested. Quote formerly known as Blue86f150 its a 4th order just because its tuned in the 40z doesnt mean it wont reach down and jiggle your balls at sub 30 hz frequencies. nick23parker
I have 2 Shallow 8s in the box behind the seat right now but there is only 4 inches of mounting depth and just enough air space for the CVT8 so i dont know if replacing the current woofers with a regular 8 or with shallow 10s or 12s is in option due to the lack of air space so i was wanting to build a console box in my rear seat based on the woofer i plan on buying. I like the RF shallow but I'm open to any other woofer right now but the reason i wanted a shallow for the console box is to limit the size of the box. I'm going to push the woofers with a RF P400.1 so shallows would generally not need as much power.
