Grey_Fox
I have (2) RE Audio SE 15" DUAL 4s Each coil on both subwoofers settle @ 3.2 ohms. When I touch the + and - prongs on the DMM it reads 0.2 ohms. Should I be worried about this?
lifted_silverado
No need to worried, the dmm actually has its own mechanical and elec, so it will show a bit of resistance when the prongs are touched. No biggie Everythings in the attic or garage since the truck was sold last year. New build should be coming soon in a dodge cummins
RAM_Designs
Perfectly normal. The listed 4ohm rating is a nominal impedance. Actual impedance is a little different, as you can tell. My craftsman dmm does the same thing.. if i touch the leads it reads .2 meaning the leads have resistance.. so for an accurate reading of your coil just substract .2 ohm.. them coils are actually suppost to read 2.8 and re still calls them d4 subs.. so u have nothing to worry about
