Nice build man. Very detailed. Its impressive to say the least. Question for you. I didn't see a fuse on on the solid red cable coming from your rear battery. Did you fuse that line close to that battery to prevent catastrophe if, god forbid, something shorted in the middle of that run of cable?

yup the wire is fused. although at the moment the fuse is located under my passengers seat near where the amp is. not the ideal place for it, but it will do for now. haven't had any problems so far *touch wood*

Alright i have finally gotten around to updating. A bit of not so good news to go with this post too :/

So the painting of the box in devils backbone red

I still need to do a raised triangle area in the middle for the 5.25" speakers because due to a flaw in my design i can fit the covers on them....oops

Also need to tidy up my messy wires at the back but thats not too hard.

Now for the bad news:

I was at a competition 2 days ago just to see what numbers the new system could do. I got a 141.9dB at 57Hz out of it which i am very happy with

Everything was going nicely and i wasn't pushing it hard or anything and then come the point where i open the boot to give people a listen of the party system and im getting a weird noise from one of the subs.

No idea what it was at the time so headed off home to have a looks.

From a basic look at it it seems the spider has come loose and is rattling which is weird as....and its only happened on one of the subs.

Am sending it off tomorrow or later today to get it looked at to see what the actual problem is. Hopefully it's not too major

Sub should be returning tomorrow. Am incredibly happy about that, but am still no wiser what happened to cause the spider to come off.

Anyway will put some pictures up of eq, non-messy ass wires and all that i've done while i've had time to work on the car.

one of my buddies would love this build. hes all about Fusion Audio. he even named his gaming clan Fusion lol. hes got 4 powerplant 12s and two DA 2250 wired up to all 4. i didnt think it was very smart wiring two monoblock amps to 4 subs but its not my truck and i didnt pay for it lol

And why exactly is wiring 4 subs to 2 amps a bad thing? sounds like 2 subs per mono block...sounds about right to me.... and the 11 million people that run em that way...mono block does not mean it for only 1 sub..means its a single channel amp...

Been a while once again, but (not that i wont to say this) i've had more important matters to attend to than car audio.

Anyway here are some pictures and i legit plan on taking a video when it gets a bit later in the day

Firstly:

Tidied up all of the spaghetti wire

Thats about all on the system side of things until i get the lights. Although i could get a picture of the eq like i said i would....mah bad.

However i did decide my engine bay needed a bit of a clean so i did that:

Nice and dirty oily engine

More oil grease...

Sprayed on some degreaser

Sprayed it all down, and got some elbow grease in there and it's looking a lot better than before.
