ninos306
quick question fellas. okay, so to add 1 extra battery in the trunk of a car/truck/suv whatever, all you need is 1 run of positive and 1 run of negative from the front battery to the rear. and then from the rear you can power your amp from that? or how does it work? example: xs d3400 in the front 1 postive and 1 negative run to the rear which would be a xs d3100 and then lets say a rockford bd2500 amp to be powered by that rear batt? thanks guys system is going to consist off 1 18' btl and a rockford bd 2500. Rockbrook
Sounds good, but if i remember correctly, you'll want to fuse between your two batteries just in case something shorts out. Your vehicle wont go up in flames

shake n bass
Sounds good, but if i remember correctly, you'll want to fuse between your two batteries just in case something shorts out. Your vehicle wont go up in flames yep fuse the batteries. you dont really have to run negative though cuz its ground to your car and engine so mostly run few grounds to body in back and its good. EBW
I run a neg back to the frame then a run from my amp/batt ground to frame at the same location. And 2 300 amp fuses should be good 1 up front one at rear batt Edited September 1, 2011 by EBW Quote Kenwood KIV-BT900 Front Stage RF 400-4 Runs off dedicated 4 awg ofc RE 6.5 125.5. And 2 300 amp fuses should be good 1 up front one at rear batt so you run a negative wired from the front batt thats grounded in the rear of the vehicle, and you ground your amp and the rear batt to the same location?
