Stee-Z Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 I have been kind of dissapointed on my setup 9515 DD and AQ 220 , with an XS D3400. Dont get me wrong i love it its loud, but i dont even get roof flex. i just checked my box and on the face of it where the ports at, on the top crack where the baffle lies i must have forgott to seal the edge inside when i was making the box, because it blows air thruought that whole crack. Could i be loosing enough pressure to make a difference? Bondo, fiberglass resin and some sanding would be your best bet imo. I'm not 100% sure but I think air leaks in an enclosure can cause problems like over excursion. Now do correct me if I'm wrong. You lose pressure everywhere in the box Next time, use more glue. I gob the shit on and cant even use 1/4 a bottle for a 'regular' ported box. Enough glue and you dont have to use anthing else. Quote
