Hitman813 Posted September 4, 2011 Report Share Posted September 4, 2011 (edited) i finaly came up with a more realistic goal for what i want to do first ima sell my grand marquis and but a s10 extended cab 4x4 so 2 smd 15s in a ported box tuned to 35.53 acording to torres calc powered by a dc 12k at .5ohm each sub with the stock alt for all the regular electrical stuff in the truck 3 350a H/O for the amps alts yellow top up front and about 6 xs d1600 16v batts **edit** xs d3100 instead of the d1600 in the back with 3 runs of 4/0 welding cable to each battery and 4/0 for the big 3 is there anything else im missing Edited September 4, 2011 by Hitman813 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

tonedeaf Posted September 4, 2011 Report Share Posted September 4, 2011 (edited) DC 12ks are not 18v stable. They dont like more than 15.8 volts. So if you want to stick with the 12k, you'd have to go with either D1400s charging @ 15.8 or D3100s. Id probably stick with the D3100s. 3-5 of those plus the alts would be plenty. I think the max amperage draw of the 12k is around 1100 amps? If so, your alts would almost keep up with that. (though the more batts you have the less your alts will have to work.
