Mha Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 So the other day I won a dc xl 12 from ebay for 250 shipped to my door steps, seams like a hell of a deal . Im looking to put 2 in my truck and am trying to gather info on box specs? Dc recomend 1.5 cuft but the videos I have seen on youtube most people have bigger boxes plus the guy also tryed to sell me his box when I asked him about what he was running it in. his box was 4cuft. While im not building the box(dont have the right tools to make straight cuts) I getting someone elso to do it for me to my specs.As of right now power wise im think 1000 watts each(when I get both that is). After I get both ill be upping the power.What to you recomend for box size? do I need a double baffle?
tonedeaf Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 Double baffle isnt necessary, just make sure the box is solid. Shoot us dimensions of your truck. Id shoot (for 2) towards 4.4 CF for 2 12" xls. Prolly 16-18 port per.

I removed the midgate and am getting a midgate box put in I think its 49-50 inches long 19-20 high and depth I got the whole bed witch I wont need it all. The guy im talking to said he can build it how ever big I need. So I have the space for what ever.box is best but dont want to go over board just incase I do need the bed to sothing
