This box is going to be for two kicker cvts 8s. Told me he wants it to play all ranges of music and still be able to put his horns in there with flush mounts for the subs. new guy Posted September 13, 2011 Report Posted September 13, 2011 why you tuning so low for 8s? id tune at around 35. also 3.3 cubes seems really big for 2 shallow mount 8s no idea though. i also wouldnt use anything less then 3/4 inch for my wood, but thats just me that could be fine no idea though *current* 1991 honda crx si 2 skar audio 12s pioneer 6.5s dual 400 watt amp audio technix db 1/0 wiring kit. dual head unit

He just got the subs for his birthday a month ago and decided he would come to me to do his audio for him once again. Ill give him the cut sheet tell him to bring it up there to lowes. Ill order some ports for him and some foam baffles for the horns or something. Hes tired of his old mtx audio 8s and I told him the boxes where way to small. He asked for that size box and no smaller. about 1.3 per sub is what I have it at now tuned to 37hz with 12in port and 3/4 size for wood. I tried suggesting alittle smaller of a box and he said no he wants the behind seat taken up. Ill Have to talk to him at school tommorow. 2001 Dodge Ram Quad Cab.

Likes the box and the tuning we figured we could put the subs on the sides and leave enough space for two more when he gets the money for two more subs... I ordered the aeroports today. Cant wait to build a good box for another friend. He didnt put a good enough port on it and he built it out of plywood. Lasted a month now we get to do it all over again in 3/4mdf and with two 4in aeroports next weekend. 2001 Dodge Ram Quad Cab.
