( its in a very odd place and it would cost alot to have someone replace it.) would 4 gauge be good enough to do the big 3? also, with only the big 3 do you think i would be ok to run around 1200 rms? or should i look into getting another bat? im on a really tight budget or else id go all out. *current* 1991 honda crx si 2 skar audio 12s pioneer 6.5s dual 400 watt amp audio technix db 1/0 wiring kit. dual head unit
ChevyBoy95 Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 yes, but the amount of wire to do it is little, so just do 1/0 so you wont have to do it again later. saves money in the long run, but yes, 4ga would work for a 130amp alt. as far as 1200rms, you will get some voltage drop and a little light dimming depending on what accessories are running, but shouldnt be anything major.
