Basshead89
sexy build there what's the main job of this server? stream? storage? Both, also has an FTP Server on it. It stores content for all the Big Screen in the other room. It streams all the content to the TV. I have most of my DVDs backed up on there, including my Blu-Ray DVD's also. Basically I have 75% of my movies available on demand. I'm still working on encoding the last 25%. Also with the multiple raid 5 volumes. my Family backs up everything they have to it. Basshead89
Here is the bonus... my last file server was ancient... and only 1.8tb's of space. This new one has so much more room and my power bill went down by $40 a month!
RooTxBeeR
I must ask why you are going to put a high end GFX card in a server computer? will it be used to run those blu ray movies or just store them? Basshead89
I must ask why you are going to put a high end GFX card in a server computer? will it be used to run those blu ray movies or just store them? honestly... It's a card I had laying around. I did like the fact that it had no fan and a huge heat sink. With no GPU fan this thing is QUIET! **edit** as Sanitarium pointed out it was also a CHEAP card I had laying around.
