So with the 5500 i could do all 4 subs what's the specs on that amp I thought I could do all 4 with the aq 3500 but I guess wrong about that

Well the subs are rated at 2000rms right? A single AQ 3500 would give you somewhere around 1000rms a sub(assuming your electrical is good) dont get me wrong AQ is good in my book but 1 is not enough to get 4 btl's really moving imho. I dont recommend you trying to put an AQ 3500 per sub like mentioned above^^^, unless you know exactly what you're doing and I'm assuming you're not that experienced yet. I say get a good alt, good batteries and alot of some good 0/1awg wire. Then either go a single 5500 or 2 3500's thats up to you, of course 2 3500's will be more power. This is my opinion but I'd just get a single 3500 now then when you get 2 more subs get another. :)

you talking about the AQ 3500.1? or the AQ 3500? because if its the single input kind i'd put Crescendo over it for price.

Yeah the aq3500d1 that's what I was talking about but I'm going to do what bassrace said and get the Crescendo 3500 and go from there and if i get two more just get another amp I thought the aq was 4300 rms at 14.4 volts

the reason the AQ is more expensive is because its (under)rated at 4300 rms.

The crescendo is (under)rated at 3500 rms.
