marknotts
Hi there, Im new to this forum, and live in Nottingham, UK Im hoping to start a new system in my Ford Ka just after christmas but am unsure of what sub/subs to buy. If possible id like to be able to hit around the 140db mark but only have space for a 2.3cubic enclosure (even less when sub/s and port are fitted) due to the extreme small size of my car. Not sure if this level could easily be achieved? Depending on what the output is I may consider competing but really just want a loud daily system. I was thinking along the lines of 2 DD1508's with around 400 - 500W rms each in 1.75cubic feet but am also considering a single 12" Any thoughts, ideas or reconmendations would be welcome. Thanks Mark

AI James
if you get a fi look at the Q 12 if you want Mag the 12 is an awesome driver as well. the MX may or may not fit in your requirements due to depth ofthe driver

AI James
I think the diamond audio subs sound very clean. they are a clean sounding driver but they lack output in comparison to the other options he's stated

I have quite a bit of room above the enclosure but it becomes narrower as the height increases due to the shape of the hatch and slope of rear seat. BASS14
for a good 12" sub....i would go with TC sounds....i think they are the best of both worlds(sound Quality and they move like crazy) But TC sounds is now audio pulse. Go to www.tcsounds.com and it will take you to audiopulse then click on bass drivers and and then the EPIC is the TC-1000. i own 2 12" TC-1000s and they are frickin great!!!!
