MLA Instal - Pics and Vids!!!

Recommended Posts

I'm looking into them as we speak.

You dont need it if you are going to go trips on the alts from DC Power.

Um, sorry, but on autos that have PCM controlled voltage, you do need it. If you have one or four alts, doesn't increase your voltage, just amperage. Unless you run a floating system, then you are correct. Then you would just use an external voltage regulator. :drinks:

From his build log I believe he ordered two alts from DCP and he has a trip alt bracket. He can just keep the stock alt controlled the same way by the PCM and isolated from the other two. Rob will let him know how to wire them.

If he doesn't iso the alts then yes, definitely get the MLA.

Correct. The 2 DC 270Alts will be isolated from my stock alt.Now that I think about it with the batteries that I'm running and the two 270amp alts i should be good on voltage

Can you use this without a H/O alt? Mainly can you use this on a factory electrical system ?

Yes sir you sure can. I had to re instal my factory alt while the LoadBoss was being repaired, and it worked exactly the same, no differences what so ever.

Oh yeah, sorry man. I forgot to tell ya. I did get an extra tenth out of flipping the switch to high.

Here was my best outlaw switch on low

And here is the best I got after flipping the switch to high.

But I cant swear that that made the difference, I also changed sides the mic was on. Sorry man, I was chasing that 48, I knew that one of my subs was toast, and I went all out on the last one:)

I'll do a better test next time, and hopefully have more conclusive evidence.

It´s cool mate, thanks a lot for posting those pics, after many reviews i guess that, MLA module it´s only for charging your batteries way faster, that´s pretty much it i guess :(
