Guest
Max that amp should make is like 1,300 watts at 1 ohm, and you're not going to see good power output at 2 ohms wired on the BTL. Save up, upgrade the electrical and get a better amp. It will be much more worth it in the long run. i didnt even notice that he had a d1 woofer. kicker 2500 came to my mind instantly. SQMonte
I never ran that particular amp but I did used to run a PA Gothic series amp that I picked up from a local electronics liquidation sale for like $120, it claimed to put out 1200rms....it pushed the hell out of my MTX Thunder 4000 12's. I doubt it did rated power but it got the job done and that's all that mattered to me. smokeybs
For the money you could put a bamf 5500 on an Fi btl no problem. But a better amp would be more efficient and cleaner power.
ngriggs
So what's an amp I could get. I don't Iate money for a sundown or rockford so don't even mention them.
TeamHT
If you read two options were given to you. You purchased a D1 ohm sub so your only options are to get power output at .5 ohm and 2 ohm. I do not suggest you wiring down to .5 ohm and you should find an amp to put out power at 2 ohm.
