ngriggs
Would a power acoustic bamf 4000 1d put out 2000 watts rms for my 1 ohm dvc fi btl? I looked at the owners manual for the amp and it said it does but I just want to make sure. It also has two speaker outputs and I don't know if this makes a difference for the ohm load? Thanks,
kam311
No because power acoustik is overrated a bit, and the amp is supposed to make 2k at 1ohm rms I'm pretty sure, and a dvc 1ohm sub wires to 2ohms or .5ohm. I could be wrong on the Amps output but I'm pretty sure Oh and most monoblock's now and days have various speaker outputs, the terminals are connected internally and the companies just do that for ease of wiring, it doesn't affect the ohm load Edited October 1, 2011 by kam311 Quote so far... Azagtoth502
Even with multiple outputs it's still a mono amp. The multiple terminals are for convenience. ngriggs
It is supposed to put out 2200 watts at 1 ohm so does that mean it most likely puts out 2000?
Guest
just a heads up, that amp will (99% chance) put out as much power as an audioque 1200d.
ngriggs
What about the 5500 watt amp then?

Even if it did do 2k at 1ohm (which I highly doubt) your sub doesn't allow you to run at 1ohm anyway Quote so far... Guest
What about the 5500 watt amp then? like 1800w at the MOST. edit: just go with a good brand man, so many people have come on here being all like "my power acoustik amp doesnt work!!! ((" and we tell them time and time again, that they bought a shitty amp. Edited October 1, 2011 by Kranny
TeamHT
Max that amp should make is like 1,300 watts at 1 ohm, and you're not going to see good power output at 2 ohms wired on the BTL. Save up, upgrade the electrical and get a better amp. It will be much more worth it in the long run. Quote Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
