jlh2003
I've been working on my 3rd rebuild of the year and after only 4 months of having POS Fatmat in my car I'm less then thrilled with it and its performance.. So I contacted Jon for advice on what route I could take without having to remove all the fatmat in it entirety, at least in my trunk and rear deck area.... Ordered a gallon of spectrum and a friend had some alpha damp left over:) Alpha damp:The stuff is amazing! the foil is very thick so trying to mold it to some spots that weren't completely flat are a little difficult, other then that its top notch! Its very easy to install and you really don't need any heat to get it to stick well, just roll it on in a few spots and it stuck great! Spectrum:Man I love this stuff! Its a little tedious to spray on with a normal paint gun, so I suggest either a roller or purchasing the SS gun. I can already notice a difference just with one coat about 1/2-3/4 of the gallon, def will be using the rest to do a second coat when I'm not on a limited time frame! POS Fatmat: Fatmat coming off the rear deck: New Second Skin Alpha damp: Spectrum in wet: Rear deck under side: Spectrum mostly dry: Edited October 7, 2011 by jlh2003 Quote http://www.termpro.com/asp/competitorstats.asp?Competitor_ID=88276 AlphaDamp CLD Tiles - Get more sound deadening using less sound deadener http://www.secondskinaudio.com/products/AlphaDamp.php

snafu
Wow! Just goes to show you that there are a BUNCH of companies out there offering products that just don't perform. In the two and a half years that Second Skin has been an SMD Partner, all I've seen is praise. Keep up the great work SS!
