Torres Posted December 13, 2007 Author Report Posted December 13, 2007 ok so...it's loud and all...but i've been bored lately and wanna build a box, so i'm rebuilding this one with a much bigger port. here's what i got so far mmmm...i love wood picked up some of this stuff this time around
Torres Posted December 13, 2007 Author Report Posted December 13, 2007 just look at the difference... i can fit my body in the new port lol. this box is taller than the last one, so i can make it shorter. this way i can have a better time mounting the amps and making a beauty panel for em. ima double/triple layer the amp side to minimize any vibration and put a layer of some extra fatmat between the box and a sheet of the wood to help also (thanks amatt for the idea )

Torres Posted December 13, 2007 Author Report Posted December 13, 2007 tuning is about the same. old box is 33 hz, this one will be between 32-33 hz. might go with smaller dowels or some threaded pipe for bracing this time around. forgot to add the 45's in the corners of the box last time, and i wanna take up the least amount of air space possible, tho it probably wont sound noticeably different
