CJ18
The fedex man brings me gifts! The start of the new amp rack. Total battery count now in the bed is 8 D1400s and 1 D3400. I have left room to add 2 more 1400s if needed. Sealed the bottom of the rack Painted Left room for 2 more D1400s in the front which would give me a total of 10. The amp rack will get rebuilt in a few weeks when I get the 12k. Fan under the 7.5 to keep it nice and cool

CJ18
Next upgrade.......Custom install triple alt bracket made for the 4.6 f150. Mine is the 5.4 so this is taking some fabrication. Before- Dual and triple side by side- If you look close below the 3rd alt I have to cut the bracket to be able to fit the cap back on the oil filler neck. This bracket was not designed for this engine so I am having to try and modify it to work with my engine. Before mod- notice the bottom left of the bracket. Right now I cannot put the oil cap back on. After mod- bracket now notched. Waiting on a new 142" belt to install the 3rd alt. If all goes well I should be able to have the belt and test it on Thursday.
CJ18
Ive got the woodworking down, now its time to start listening to my old man and learn metal working. I am going to try my hand and making my own dual bracket for the 4.6 and 5.4 F150s to see how well it comes out after I get done retro fitting this triple bracket to fit my truck. I learned how to use the plasma cutter tonight but I am still scared of the grinder. I am going to get one that has the side handle and guard before I try to use one. This is my dad grinding down a weld off of the triple bracket after I cut part of a brace off to make room for another brace to bolt on. How it sits right now. I drilled a 1/2" hole up towards the top right for a bolt to go through for the back bracket that bolts to the top of the stock alt. Back view. The bracket you see there is the one off of my dual bracket. I am going to make a copy of it to fit the mods I have made to the triple bracket. CJ18
Ok here it is. First problem I encountered tonight was belt clearance issue down at the bottom here where it was hitting the engine block. First solution was to go get new smaller idler pulleys. Before- Here you can see the lip of the engine block that the belt WAS hitting. New Idler Pulleys Belt ready to be put on. It took a 142" belt to fit the wrap I came up with. Almost clear It actually ended up ground down more than this but I forgot to take a final pic The only thing left now is to find a idler pulley that is 1/4" smaller for the bottom left to get the perfect belt travel that I am looking for and to give me perfect clearance. Video uploading now.
