sundown-e21 Posted October 14, 2011 Report Posted October 14, 2011 Hey Guys, I finally got time to take photos of my setup! So, first things first is My car, which is a 1983 Bmw 320i. This car was $450 and is a daily driver, with ~250,000 on the clock and still going strong. I am 16 years old, so don't hate! The subs are kicker comp 12's, and I have 2 of them. They are in a box that i got from best buy, and was literally the exact dimensions, and tuning point that I wanted all for 13 dollars. The box is a little on the small side, but that's all I could do for a daily driver. The amp that is powering it all is a Rockford Fosgate T300/2 that i got for Eighty dollars. The amp is in perfect shape, and has the HZ/Gain knob inside the car too! I have 4 gauge power wire, and ~4 gauge big 3 under the hood. The alternator is a 90 amp alternator, which I upgraded myself. The difference between that and stock (65amp) is unbelievable! After the big 3, I got another volt out of my charging system. It is now up to 13.8 volts, and the voltage drop goes to a hair above 12.8. Next on the list is a new battery, and doing Peel and Seal throughout the trunk. Insufficient funds makes it so I can't get second skin... Finally, This car is maxed out electrically, and this was the biggest alternator i could find for a cheap price. So don't hate! My next build will be WAY better, and cleaner. Overall though, this is a very nice daily setup that gets decently loud. P.S. Don't mind the holes in the intake, my brother did that thinking that it will add substantial horsepower... Lol, it might look like that in the pic but the way that that is designed (stock) sucks in air from the top tube in the corner of the photo, goes through the intake and then comes out the bottom filtered into the engine. So basically what my bro did was "widen" that hole to allow more air to suck in, and go through the stock housing into the engine. The rear parsel shelf had has some major rattling problems, so i bolted it down.
