CarbonCone
I under stand getting a new alt would help with voltage drop, but will it make my db go up as I dont need the voltage to stay high for long periods of time only for 2-3 seconds. fllemonlaw
When I had my buick I had two batteries and I think it put some stress on the little 105 amp alt. But gtps have 160amp alts from what I have read. So I would say 2 batteries so that way you can also listen to your music worry free when your car is off. If you don't have a gtp I apologize for my ignorance. Quote Thanks, Florida Lemon Law
dohckiller808
just for burps go high voltage batts and throw it on a charger. the only way youll see higher numbers on an alt for burp is if your alt exceeds your amps and the rest of your electrical draw at higher voltage. youll have to make sure your cables can handle that draw all the way from the alt to amps. Looking at getting a 270amp from mechman but unsure if I would make a difference in the lanes due to only doing burps and not bass racing.
