extremeauto
ok so i am working on my first wall build ever im not the best at building boxes but do ok & they usually sound good.i have a 1995 Honda passport with x2 fully loaded Fi bl 18"s & will be using x2 hifonics hifi 2500.1(i know they don't do rated but i have 1 and there cheap clean power) i have 40" wheel to wheel 31"tall & i can go 23 deep with out hitting my hatch. (i have to have 1 rear seat so i can haul my daughter when needed as we only have 2 cars...lol)i could go 50" wide but i would have to go 6" up to clear my wheel wells. i have come up with a slip in box to make into a wall its 31"tall 40"wide and 22".5 deep.with a 10"x16" port tuned @31.46 hz it gives me160" of port,11.69 cubes after displacement i am goin to use the side and to space to place extra speakers for mids &hi's ..then foam it all off.amps and batts will be behind the wall and some batts on drivers rear floor board till i get a batt rack under the truck pics made by EBW box designed and tuned by me &EBW i was just wondering what every1 thought of this............and how you think it will work out i am going for maximum flex and hair trick not trying to break records but 149-153 db would be nice but i am mainly going for SQ & hair tricks 1995 Honda passport 3.2 4x4 Frankenstein on a budget ballistics sound deader (roof only so far) kenwood mp3 usb audio control 3 (upgrading) hifonics mx-3 3 sets of massive px5 5.25s 3 sets of massive tweets phonix gold 5.25 componets x2 massive nx4 nano 200x4 mids sony xplod 600x4 watt high's 2 Fi bl fully loaded box walled @31ish hz 13.2 cube box/wall massive DB8000 Excessive amaperge 250 amp alt wir extrnl regulator daul runs of xs power xpflex 0 gauge big 3 raptor 0 gauge power/ground wire full run suriken 45 amp hour x3 shriken bt-120 batts, interstate 1100CA semi batt scytek galaxy 2way alarm still upgradeing! techforce
Is the bottom "L" part of the port the same size as the top?? The design it does not look like it... Other than that, it looks nice! I would consider double baffling the front...

Other than that, it looks nice! I would consider double baffling the front... i think it is supposed to be the same size port all the way....and we will double baffle the front &it will be braced and fiber-glassed. thanks again for the 18" Richard i love these things! 1995 Honda passport 3.2 4x4 Frankenstein on a budget ballistics sound deader (roof only so far) kenwood mp3 usb audio control 3 (upgrading) hifonics mx-3 3 sets of massive px5 5.25s 3 sets of massive tweets phonix gold 5.25 componets x2 massive nx4 nano 200x4 mids sony xplod 600x4 watt high's 2 Fi bl fully loaded box walled @31ish hz 13.2 cube box/wall massive DB8000 Excessive amaperge 250 amp alt wir extrnl regulator daul runs of xs power xpflex 0 gauge big 3 raptor 0 gauge power/ground wire full run suriken 45 amp hour x3 shriken bt-120 batts, interstate 1100CA semi batt scytek galaxy 2way alarm still upgradeing! Sanitarium
Center ports tend to be best for demo'ing/showing off. Design looks solid. Build it and see how she does!. just make sure you make beauty panels to seal it off to the top/sides/bottom of the car.

You're not gonna get good SQ by putting mids/highs behind you. You ever go to a concert and put your back to the band? Bass is less directional though so we all get away with putting it behind us. Just keep that back clean short of subs and maybe a few electrical components.

Just keep that back clean short of subs and maybe a few electrical components. i will have speakers all over the truck...all 4 doors, kick panels..etc i just want to use what extra space i may have to place speakers so i dont just have bass.i am plaing on doing trim for the sides and top that will be slip in box,s for mids and hi's ...then filling all gaps with spray foam.amps and batts will be in the very back behind the wall with fans and some kind of vent to keep it all cool back there... what kind of issues do you think i could/would have by doing it this way?.....this is my 1st wall build so i really dont know.... 1995 Honda passport 3.2 4x4 Frankenstein on a budget ballistics sound deader (roof only so far) kenwood mp3 usb audio control 3 (upgrading) hifonics mx-3 3 sets of massive px5 5.25s 3 sets of massive tweets phonix gold 5.25 componets x2 massive nx4 nano 200x4 mids sony xplod 600x4 watt high's 2 Fi bl fully loaded box walled @31ish hz 13.2 cube box/wall massive DB8000 Excessive amaperge 250 amp alt wir extrnl regulator daul runs of xs power xpflex 0 gauge big 3 raptor 0 gauge power/ground wire full run suriken 45 amp hour x3 shriken bt-120 batts, interstate 1100CA semi batt scytek galaxy 2way alarm still upgradeing!
