armykyle1 Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 (edited) So close to 1.5yrs ago, I put a junk yard motor in my daily driver. Well when I got it the knock sensor was on the intake manifold, (no idea why) and I assumed it was a big ground lol... I had torn the old engine down and neglected to take enough pics.... So something seemed odd when I was checking my oil and stuff today. I've been trying to figure out why my gas mileage has been sucking... So I was staring at the knock sensor and realized it was a knock sensor.... Now have moved it to the correct location... Put a new timing belt and head on it about 5k ago, tested the egr and cleaned the carbon out of the lines. I've been kind of thinking the cat for a while or the o2, But cats for my car a min of 250 lol. The upstream o2 is only like 15 bucks but the down stream is 80-100 for a good brand.
