412 CVX Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 i need a good pair of 10's that will last, sound good, and still bang. i've always dreamed about owning a couple of FI Q 10's. just my personal preference. Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid.
IBleedMusick Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 There are a lot of companies who make good quality, long lasting subwoofers. The bigger question is what does your budget look like and how much power (RMS) you are looking to get out of the pair. 2013 Dodge Charger Build Log 1996 Ford Explorer XLT 5.0Build Log 2005 Honda Civic LX Coupe Build Log SMD SUPER SELLER!!!!My Selling Feedback
Quiet Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 Setting your gains correctly and building a properly designed enclosure for your subs means more than which ones you choose. You can blow out any sub if you put them in a prefab box and use you gains like a volume knob. Since you're taking suggestions, 2 DC Level 4s and an AQ2200D Good Luck 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.
Dust0 Posted October 27, 2011 Author Report Posted October 27, 2011 the rms only needs to be about 500 or more it really dont matter i have 3 orion hp and i blew one of them, i have been looking at the alpine type R 10" and money well im saving as i go lol, and if any one know if RE audio is any good it would help cuz i found 3 on ebay for cheep. http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-NEW-RE-AUDIO-SEX10D2-10-3600w-CAR-SUBWOOFERS-SUBS-/350475420587?pt=Car_Subwoofers_Enclosures&hash=item5199f683ab
poorfish88 Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 G6ryder is selling 2 Skar VVX 10s for 250 shipped. Sounds like a good deal to me.
412 CVX Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 well if you're looking at about 450, the SA 10's for 150 apiece will probably be a little better than the type R's or RE's. the type R's are decent subs, but i hear they don't like very much power. the RE's are good, but i hear the newer style one's don't sound as good as the older ones. maybe i'm just really biased towards sundown lol, but from what i hear, they are very efficient woofers and can take power like a champ.
