9515ROB
ok im gonna be complicated. noob with power... dc 9k, running 18v 1ohm for now. how many batts will i need lol or how do i determine how many i need? by looking at what? the batterys AH ect I would wait till some one with some 18v knowledge chimes in. But if i remember right when i was looking at running a 16v system it was going to take me 10+ batts for the 11k at them time i planed on running without having to worry about much about voltage Quote - 1998 Ford Mustang - Time to rebuild. 4 15s and alot of power TEAM DTF
Stereolab
Go with RMS, not max, when calculating amperage draw on an amp.
AMI CUSTOMS
If you are going 18V charging system, would run the batcap 8400 IMO is the best bat for that application, replace several batteries with just one. Thats if he is using it for burps tho because those are not intended for daily use. They are made just for a rapid discharge Quote - 1998 Ford Mustang - Time to rebuild. 4 15s and alot of power TEAM DTF

One Way
Now I'm really confused with all this. Don't even know how to start now. Say my stock alt pulls 90 amps what would my ideal wattage be to run before I start upgrading electrical? AMI CUSTOMS
Not bad for amp, but is bad for batteries they will only take so many fully discharged cycles like that, 18 volt rest at 16.8 and at 14.5 are fully discharged.
