Quick question about RF amp...

Recommended Posts

I have an Older RF punch 2 channel amp that I run my mids and highs from. Currently I'm running it 2 channel stereo at 2 Ohm per channel 125 watts rms. Would it hurt my aged amp to run it at 1 ohm stereo? I have moderately good electrical, check my sig. I currently don't run any subs due to my Diamond Audio sub giving out after 10 years!!! Any input is appreciated.

If its older, it won't even let you wire it that way. What model and approx year is it?? It will go into protect if it's not 1 ohm stable!

It's a 250a2 circa 1999-2000.

impossible. usually bridged is 4 ohm, and the lowest i seen old RF 2 channels go down to STABLE is 2 ohms. I would save your amp, and buy a new one.

Thanks.I think I will save it and keep it's current configuration. I'm currently saving my pennies to buy a 4 channel AQ.
