412 CVX Posted October 31, 2011 Report Posted October 31, 2011 (edited) at first sight i thought the tuning was pretty low for a kicker L7, but i did a litte research and found out the Fs of the sub is pretty low at 26 hz. i haven't owned the 15" L7 before so i can't say from experience what tuning they like, but i usually tune boxes for kicker subwoofers a little higher (33-35). all that is debatable though. here's what i would do - i would definitely put a 45 on the bottom in front of the port opening. then i would either do a double baffle/flush mount or add a couple of 1.5 inch diameter dowels in the middle of the box vertically, if that makes sense. or both. a little extra bracing never hurts. you don't want this happening Edited October 31, 2011 by 412 CVX Quote Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid.

412 CVX Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 is that a marble box? i think it's either fiberglass or MDF painted to look like marble... or maybe that's supposed to be camo. hard to tell though.
