Sid420 Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Well I have a plye. Yeah I know. I didn't buy it my friend gave Be it to me. But I hot about two weeks of bumbing and then it went out. So I took it out and checked the coils and they were both readin 4.0??? But when I play it the cone does not move at all and sounds like the coil is working fine. Don't know what to do?
corey0928 Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Check all the connections, make sure the sub is hooked up properly. Make sure the output channel on your amp is working
STEvil Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 make sure the cone is still connected to the coil. The joint on the bottom of the cone may have broken loose. If its broken you might be able to epoxy it (24 hour epoxy, LOTS) and be ok.... for a while. Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. STEvil Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 cone is abouve the coil, you should be able to push on the back of the cone and see if it moves while the spider and coil stay (mostly) stationary.
