gally
Well the only reason people even call then beefy cause well, if you look at the basket compared to how large the motor is, looks huge It has nothing to do with them being "beefy" for people to run them, has to do with the woofer it's self, a "beefy" woofer doesn't have a complete advantage over any other woofer it depends on how it's used Your question would be 10x easier if a) you worded it better, gave us the woofers you were looking at i´ve been lookin for some RE audio woofers but frome expereience they dont perform well, i meant i am used in playin these subs.. i had 2 10 re SR now i have 1 10 re SE...it kinda all perform well but since i changed my car a couple monts ago and I AM WORKIN on GETTIN NEW subs i searched on the net..to find some... ive been intrested in only 2 of em so far it goes by pair 1. Skar audio VVX-10 or 12¨ 2. Sundown SA 12 or 10˝ other than that..thats it i mean...the skars looks damn sexy...as subs of course...but in performance? how are the skars? in performance anyone experienced so far tke skars? cqtama
the way i look at it it can be beefy or cheesy. and nobody wants a cheesy sub, theirs no substance. you want lots of beef on your sub cuz it fills you up. hence beefy (large motor) fills up the sound. seriously though its just an adjective. its just like calling someone chubby. its got some meet on it so most people say subs are beefy cuz they have a large motor or magnet. BeAlLsTaR13
Can't really go wrong with either of those woofers, can even add obsidians to that list What's your budget? BeAlLsTaR13
Both sets of woofers and the obsidians I recommended will all go good on that amp and fits your budget IMO I'd run the obsidians cause 1) it'd save you some cash over the SA12s, especially on that power Don't think you could go wrong with te skars but I've never worked with them hands on, where as I've done several sa12 installs and one with the obsidians Quote Team Sundown Audio**CURRENT** -- 2012 Scion tC Build Click Here **OLD** -- 2002 Pontiac Grand AM Build Click Herecheck them out, slap me a comment2002 Pontiac Grand AM SE 2.2l 4 cylinder ecotec.-------------------------------------------------------------------Head Unit - Alpine CDA-9887Subs - 2x Z 12 v.2s - v.3 + NS Soft partsAmplifier - Sundown Audio SAZ-3500DEnclosure - 3.33 Cubes tuned to 34.66hzFront Stage - JBL P660c 6.5" ComponentsRear Deck - Powerbass 4xl 6.5" Mid-RangeFront Stage Amplifier - Sundown Audio SAX-100.4DWires - Kicker Hyperflex 1/0, KnuKonceptz 1/0, Knu 4 and 8 Gauge, Kicker RCAsElectrical - 275 AMP DC Power H/O Alternator, XS Power S3400, XS Power D2700Videos - http://www.youtube.com/user/BeAILsTaR13-------------------------------------------------------------------
gally
i never heard about the obsidians...i live in EU so the alternative choice rather than the obsidians are the GZ(ground zero) subs...so that is a no no... i had the DD 3515 and it sounded crappy at 30hz and below... i want a subs that can take low frequencies for daily... i am wanting the skars rather than any other subs...the second choice would be the same re audio... if anyone knows other subs that perform well please let me know...and no AQ(already have it) Quote 2010 Chevrolet Cruze Radio --- pioneer mvh-200vbt Front/back --- alpine type s 6.5" Sub Control --- Pac LC1 Sub Amp --- GZPA 1.4K Sub --- GZNW 15XSPL D1 Battery - GZBP 12.2500X
