If you prep the area that needs to get welded ( remove paint and such) and grt it ready for welding it will cost alot less.

Thanks for the info. Just sand and clean? Is there any other prep involved?

If you can get the 1/8" flat bar cut to how you want it to fit evrrything cleaned up so all you need to do is bring it to a weld shop and get it welded it will save lots of time And less labour for welder which brings price down

If its ready to be welded It shouldnt take more then 30min

Sand all paint off where it would need to be welded

Hmm. If it were built in the trunk there wouln't be a way to slide the box forward enough to get to the batts?
