What are the benefits of stuffing a subwoofer with insulation? 3. What is the material people spray on the boxes, usually on the ports and sometimes the spray substitutes for the carpet on the outside?
Audio-Concepts Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 You want to brace for added strength to prevent enclosure flex! It prevents damage to the subwoofer if bracing! Stuffing is mainly for smaller enclosures, to make the sub feel as if it is in a larger enclosure! Usually the outside is sprayed in undercoating or texture paint.
